The 50th edition of the world’s largest sailing regatta: the Barcolana. This edition will go down in history as the regatta of records: over 28,000 sailors at sea and more than 2,600 boats, including the Amerigo Vespucci, the last registered, as the 2,689th. Tourist and local attendance also set records, with over 200,000 spectators along the Trieste waterfront—from Miramare to Piazza Unità, along the Napoleonica or Strada del Friuli, and from San Giusto.
