Description: the Slackliner Jaan Roose achieved a historic feat by walking across the Strait of Messina on a slackline over 3.6 km long suspended at a height of 265 metres, an unprecedented event in world sports.The challenge was broadcast live on Mediaset (Channel 20), streamed on Tgcom24 and Sportmediaset, and shown on Red Bull's digital channels, recording record audience figures for its time slot.For the technical production, Red Bull Italia chose Videe, who designed and managed a highly complex broadcast system spread across Calabria and Sicily. The provision included 2 OB Vans, 2 SNGs, long-distance bidirectional IP links, RF links, fibre infrastructures, 3 drones, and an operational vessel for dynamic filming from the sea.Cameras—including handheld, PTZ, and stabilised systems—were also installed on suspended platforms up to 220 metres high, featuring remote control and centralised signal management to produce the national and international feeds. An ultra-lightweight 4G bodycam worn by the athlete provided a highly engaging point-of-view perspective.
