Description: Sebastiano Ricci was born in Belluno in 1659. He began his career as a painter at a very young age. He was first in Venice at Cervelli's workshop, and subsequently with Mazzoni. While demonstrating great technical skill, it was immediately clear that for the artist from Belluno, painting was a means to reach the highest echelons of the social ladder, which he very quickly managed to conquer.
Produced as a complement to the exhibition held at Villa Manin in Passariano (Udine), the documentary traces the career of the Belluno-born artist.
Filming took place in the largest European cities of Italy, Austria, Germany, France, and England.
Co-produced with the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, the Municipality of Udine, and CRUP.
