PROJECT
Tintoretto, The First Director
Location: Venice
Country: Italy
Year: 2019
Category: Contents
Client: VIDEE, KUBLAI FILM, ZETA GROUP
Event Description
The documentary traces the biography of Tintoretto and highlights the technical innovations in his painting that have had a profound and lasting influence on the history of art, leaving tangible traces in the works of artists such as Peter Paul Rubens, El Greco, Max Beckmann, and Jackson Pollock. Paul Cézanne, speaking for many, called him the idol of painting: "His work is immense, encompassing everything from still life to God." The documentary leaves no doubt about Tintoretto’s modernity, the boldness of his brushstrokes, the complexity of the stories told in his gigantic paintings, and his strategies for establishing himself as one of the most distinguished artists of his time.
In collaboration with Zeta Group and Kublai Film, Videe handled production coordination, video and audio filming, data management, and post-production activities for the documentary, including visual effects, graphics, and 4K color grading.
