Description: the Maratona dles Dolomites is one of the most fascinating events on the international cycling calendar: 138 km across the Dolomite passes, 4,230 metres of elevation gain, and 8,000 athletes immersed in a globally unique setting. The event is broadcast live on Rai 2, offering over six hours of continuous live coverage from the break of dawn to the finish line. Videe has been the organisation's technical partner since 2021. We designed a comprehensive and innovative coverage plan, managing ground, mobile, and aerial filming along the entire route, including the key points of Passo Giau and Passo Sella. Motorbikes, a helicopter, a live studio, interviews, and real-time graphics contribute to building engaging, emotion-filled storytelling.A defining feature of the production is the choice of a fully IP-based infrastructure, with live video transport over 4G/5G networks as an alternative to traditional airborne relays. This solution, integrated into OBX, ensures flexibility, reliability even in variable weather conditions, and highly efficient technical resource management.With a team of around 30 professionals and a complex camera system—including RF, PTZ, Jimmy Jib, and Cineflex—Videe transforms an extreme sporting challenge into an immersive television experience, capable of highlighting every effort, every landscape, and every emotion.
